Hercules, neither man nor god. the He is the powerful son of the king of gods, Zeus. The gods tasked him with twelve arduous labours, among these where the slaying of the Nemean Lion and the nine-headed Lernaean Hydra. Or so the legend goes...
Hercules and his five mercenary companions are celebrating there last job, driving out a group of pirates, when they are approached by Ergenia, daughter of Lord Cotys, for a new job. He wants Hercules to train his army to defend his kingdom from the bloodthirsty warlord Rheseus. Hercules accept this new job after being offered his weight in gold.
I did not have any expectations starting on this book. I just stumbled upon it surfing Audible for new books to read with my ears. I was a little curious about the Null ability, but the rest sounded like the run of the mill paranormal fantasy book.
I really wanted to like this show. Flash, the fastest man alive, I remember him as a cool superhero and I could barely wait until his new show was released. However, I am sad to say that the show so far has not lived up to my exceptions.
Four episodes might be to few to tell if this show is going to be any good or not in the long run, but if even if it keeps only a fraction of the quality it has shown so far it will still be a show worth watching. Its not an origin story of Batman the same way Smallville was of Superman. It might show some of the reasons why Bruce Wayne later becomes Batman, but he is not the main character in Gotham. It`s more a story about the city itself, its criminals, corruption and how Commissioner Gordon's earlier days as a homicide investigator was. I really love superhero stuff, so I might be a bit biased in my views, and I`m not into the comic books so I cant say anything about how it compares to the.
My hopes wasn't to high. Yes I read a bunch of good reviews, but still, the cover art almost made me skip this book. It`s so girlish. Yes I know this is a chick-lit kind of book, but still, the cover art was kind of childish to. But as they saying goes, you should not judge a book by its cover. So I gave it a reluctant try, and the next I knew 10 hours had flew by.
I actually like MMRPG based animes, so I jumped right on this when I first discovered this anime. At first I thought it would be just a mediocre copy of the others, like most of them are. I would still watch it, because, as I wrote, I like this kind of animes. But I was wrong, and I also was happy to be wrong. Log Horizon actually distinguish itself from most of the other MMORPG based animes, and it does it in a positive way too.
I remember I read my first Sherlock Holmes book when I was around ten, and from that day on I have been a Sherlock fan. When I herd BBC was creating a modernized version of Sherlock Holmes set in Contemporary times, I was stoked. A modern day Sherlock would be so cool. I was curious to see if they could compete with all the other crime shows with main characters that is a kind of altered version of Sherlock. Luckily for me, and probably for you, they managed to do that.
After multiple superheroes movies of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and The Hulk, thy are finally gathered together in this action-packet movie where they have to save the earth from invading forces. This movie was not really a surprise, it actually tarts out with small sequences at the end of some of the movies about the mentioned super heroes. I remember that I could barely wait for this movie when I first saw the scenes after the credits where S.H.I.E.L.D. got in contact with the different super heroes. The Avengers is a awesome movie for a total superhero fan like me.
From my library at Audible they suggested that I try Bloodfire by Helen Harper. I resisted for a while because I was in mood for epic fantasy, but when my mood changed I went for it. This is the first book in the Blood Destiny book series by Helen Harper. At this point there are five books in this series, and I have just started book three.
