Titan, once one of the nations most bellowed heroes has once again decided to take up the mantel of a hero decades after the scandal that tore his image and his family apart. Unfortunately for Titan, or Owen Daniels, father of Roy and Hershel Daniels, the scandal is still not forgotten and no super hero team want to take him on as a team member. He is forced to take a job overseeing a group of corpies, corporate-sponsored Supers who do rescue work, as long as there are cameras around. However, a new mysterious enemy has appeared, and the once legendary Titan might be the only one capable of defeating him. Unless he buckles under the distrust and hate and retires again.
This Spinoff story is just as great as the original series and a great read, or listen in my case. Hayes is great at writing fun and believable stories.
Corpies is also set in the Super Powereds universe and is written by the same author. So they both have a very similar feel to them off-course, even tho Corpies is not set in a school/university setting.
Ever wondered how the life of a NPC is? What they do when the shops are closed, quests are given and the adventurous have gone to their next encounter? In the town of Mapleback four NPCs ready themself to settle in for a night away from the adventurers when some thing goes terribly wrong. They find themselves with the choice of pretending to be adventurers and undertaking a dangerous task or se their town and their loved ones destroyed.
NPCs is a fun lighthearted book. If you do not know what NPC stands for then this book is probably not for you, but if you do then it probably is.
NPCs is also written by Drew Hayes, so it has some of the similar feel to it even if it is not a super hero book but a LitRPG.
Gary Karkofsky is an ordinary guy in a world of superheroes and supervillains. After the popular superhero Nightwalker dies Gary finds the late heroes cloak on his doorstep. Gary has a bad history with bad superheroes so he decides he rather go with the money end freedom of being a supervillan instead of the boring hero road.
The Supervillainy Saga is witty lighthearted and full of all kinds of superheroes, supervillains and other supernatural beings and aliens. Gary is not a pure evil or crazy supervillain, most, but not all, of what he dos ends up being for the better, but he take care to pay himself handsomely for what he dos.
The Rules of Supervillainy is not about a hero but a villain, and it is a little more lighthearted and full of other beings than humans.
Aidan Salt has a super power, albeit an unpredictable one. He has a telekinetic ability strong enough that he could be a super hero if he wanted to. Instead he decides to become Apex Strike, the first supervillain the world has seen in the last twenty years. His first heist dos not go as planned and he find himself forced in as a plot by some superheroes to make themselves important and more popular again.
Almost Infamous is an interesting book where the heroes are not that heroic, most of them anyway. I liked the book, not among the best I have read, but worth reading if you like superhero books or anti-hero books.
Almost Infamous is another superhero book from the anti-hero perspective. It also teens as the main characters, but it feels more juvenile and has more detailed writing about sex and drugs.
Karen Hashimoto, previously known as the supervillain Crushette, is known after a stint in prison reformed. After accidentally helping a superhero out with some bad guys she is offered a place with the cities most popular superhero team. Can Karen, an ex lover of the notorious supervillain Doctor Maniac turn her life around an become a hero, or will she relapse back to her old life as a criminal?
So Not a Hero is an interesting read about someone trying to turn their life around. She was not a very bad person, she more or less dropped into to criminal life because of her boyfriend, but she still was an active participant. And the super hero stuff is always cool.
Brought together to form one extraordinary team of “Alphas” – people whose unique brain anomalies imbue them with superhuman mental and physical abilities – five seemingly ordinary citizens must take the law into their own hands while working within the government to investigate a new brand of baffling crime. – Amazon
This is an excellent series, but I am not sure if I should recommend it. There is one thing that I hate with this series, and that one thing are the reason to why I will never buy this show. They cancelled it with a cliff hanger. That should be a criminal offence, an offence punished by no TV for the rest of their life.
Like Super Powereds, Alphas is also about a group of people with super powers that are under close observation by scientists. But instead of going to college they are mostly a little older and going after bad guys instead.
People all over the world are discovering that they have superpowers and they are trying to deal with how this is change is affecting their lives. Some of the people with superpowers are; Peter Petrelli, a 30-something nurse who suspects he can fly. Claire Bennet, a 17 year-old cheerleader who is next to immortal. Hiro Nakamura, a 20-something Japanese comic book fan who kind of control time. Niki Sanders, a 30-something Las Vegas showgirl with an evil twin. Matt Parkman, a cop who can read minds. Isaac Mendez, a 20-something junkie who has the ability to paint images of the future when he is high. This is a show of heroes and villains, some with and some without superpowers.
The first season is absolutely fantastic, but then it sadly starts to slowly get worse and worse until the last season that is barely worth watching. However, the first season is so good that you still will have a really good time watching it.
A group of English teenagers given community service is hit by a freak thunderstorm and discovers that they have gotten superpowers. When they discover that they are not the only ones who have been given powers they realize that they have a lot more to worry about than just their community service.
This is a cool show, but I have only watched up to season three. I fell off when I had to wait for a new season. I might take it up again if I get time.
A young Clark Kent struggles to find his place in the world as he learns to harness his alien powers for good and deals with the typical troubles of teenage life in Smallville. We follow Clark Kent before he becomes Superman and see how and why he becomes the man he later becomes.
I remember watching this when I was younger. It is a good family friendly show. It is interesting to see of Clark Kent was before he takes on is responsibilities as superman.
Meet the Powells, they are an every day, typical family who experience a remarkable transformation. They receive superpowers. Super strength, super speed, mind reading, and super intelligence. They attempt to live ordinary lives, but thy discover that there is a conspiracy at work, and that they’re not the only ones with special abilities.
Why oh why did this show only get one season, I wanted more. It was so good.

The Flash is a good superhero show, and it has some cool crossovers with Arrow, even if it is not as dark and gritty as the Arrow. It`s not the best show out there, but it is still wort a try. If you however get hanged up on inconsistencies then you might get irritated with it. He’s speed is not consistent, in some episodes he can dodge bullets, but in others he might have problems dodging much slower punches.
Two mutants come to a private academy for their kind whose resident superhero team must oppose a terrorist organization with similar powers. Marie, a.k.a. Rogue, runs away from home. She joins Logan, a.k.a. Wolverine. They are hunted by Storm and Cyclops, who are sent by Professor Charles Xavie to join them at their school for mutants. However, Magneto has other plans in mind for them.
This is probably the movie that really started the spurt of superheroes movies. It is also the first in a line of X-Men movies. I Really love this movie, but I am not exactly sure if I have watched all the other X-Men movies. I think I need to set of a day for a X-Men marathon soon.
An impenetrable field known as “Hell’s Gate” appeared ten years ago in Tokyo. At the same time a new bread of people known as Contractors appeared, these assassins and spies wield supernatural powers to carry out the dirty work of others. The only down side with these powers are the strange obsessive quirks these Contractors gets in return for their power. Among these Contractors is one more mysterious than the rest, the masked killer BK201, also known as the Black Reaper.
This is a really good anime, but not among the top tire animes.
Izuku Midoriya is powerless, he has no superpowers in a world where over 80% of the population has some kind of superpower. He is a fan of heroes and studies and takes notes on them. He has wished to become one himself since he was a small child, something that looks impossible to become when you have no power. One day he meats his personal idol, and the strongest hero of them all, All Might. Another special thing about All Might that almost no other person knows is that his power can be inherited, and after observing Izuku he has chosen to give his power to him. This gives Izuku the chance, with some hard training, to join the Hero Academy and become a hero like his childhood dream.
Boku no Hero Academia is a good anime that has taken inspiration from american comics and created a good superhero anime. It`s not an excellent anime, but it is still good. If you like animes and you also like superhero stuff, then you should give it a try.
