Kiera Cameron, a detective from the year 2077, finds herself trapped in present day Vancouver and searching for ruthless criminals from the future called Liber8. Kiera poses as a government agent and joins forces with police detective Carlos Fonnegra and teen genius Alec Sadler to capture the terrorists before they can alter the future. The future of 2077 is a dystopian one in which world governments have collapsed and corporations now dominate the planet.
I like it. I have not watched the last season of Continuum jet, but it is on my soon to watch list.
The year is 2046 and over 30 years have passed since aliens arrived. They drastically altered earth by terraforming it and colonizing it. In the frontier town of Defiance the different alien species and humans are living side by side. This off course is not without tension between the different spices, which makes for a lot of small, and not so small, problems to overcome.
This is a great post-apocalyptic show. I really hope it will get many more seasons.
Molly, an astronaut, returns home from a year-long solo mission on a space station. She tries to reconnect with her husband and son and get back to their everyday life, but something has changed. Something has happen to her that will lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history.
Halle Berry is a sexy and great actor as always. Extant is a good show, I got bored at some parts, but it was mostly good. Worth watching.
Real Humans is a show set in a world where everyone has their own personal human-looking robot, or hubots. They are used as personal assistants and for boring and dangerous jobs. However some trouble are brewing both from humans that dos not like how the robots are integrated into society and around a hidden group of robots with real intelligence.
Real Humans are a really good Swedish show full of drama and enough action. It also takes up important questions around robots taking our jobs, people becoming to close to their robots, and when do AI become real beings just like us.
David is a highly advanced robotic boy. He was bought by a couple as a substitute for their real son that is in cryo-stasis for an incurable disease. David is the first of his kind that is built to have real feelings but sadly his strongest feeling is his longing to become “real” so that he can regain the love of his human mother after her real son is cured.
AI is a great movie. It`s one of those movies that are unpredictable and makes you think.
When Alex Murphy, a Detroit cop, is critically injured in the line of duty the robotic technology company OmniCorp see a chance to test out their newest technology. They want to make Alex Murphy into a cyborg, and they want RoboCops like him in every city. But Murphy might not be as willing a machine as they wanted.
This 2014 RoboCop is more like a reinvention than a remake of the old movie. It`s a good action movie if you are in mode for that.
SkyNET, a super computer in control of military assets, decides that humans must be terminated. It lunches a massive nuclear holocaust that destroys most of the human population. Thanks to John Connor, the leader of the remaining human rebels, the humans finally wins. But in a last-ditch attempt to win the computers sends a Terminator back in time to kill John Connors mother before he is born.
The Terminator is a seriously good movie from the 80s. It`s a must watch movie that is referred to in countless other movies and TV shows.
In this Tim Burton movie the world has collapsed and the humans are dead, but right before we died a dedicated scientist gave life to nine of his creations. This group of nine find them self in a dangerous post-apocalyptic steam punk world of machines and spare parts.
I love most of Tim Burton’s movies, and this one is no exception.
In the year 2035, technology and robots are a trusted part of everyday life. Robots hare hard-coded to follow the three laws of robotics, where the first states that “A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm”. But when a scientist is found dead and the paranoid detective Del Spooner believes that a robot is responsible.
The movie is very different from the book and it dos not make you think as much, but it is still a good movie. You will probably like this movie as long as you are OK with watching a movie that significantly differ from the book it is based on.
The main character Major Motoko Kusanagi is a deadly cyborg and the squad leader of Section 9, the Japanese government’s military unit tasked with fighting terrorism and cyber warfare. They have to fight the Laughing Man, a terrorist who orchestrated a kidnapping and extortion plot many years ago who has suddenly reappeared. Motoko and her squad are drawn into a deadly game where they have to use all their expertise to survive.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is one of the better animes out there. It’s an influential anime that all anime lovers should watch.
